Instead of chasing permanent stat bonuses, players may eventually focus on:
Rare cosmetic collections
Exclusive crafting materials
Expanded stash systems
Persistent item preservation
Seasonal unlocks
Prestige rewards
That would allow Embark to reward experienced players without creating major gameplay balance issues.
Expedition Cosmetics Will Continue
One important detail many players may not realize is that expedition cosmetics are not permanently missable.
The current Patchwork cosmetic set, for example, progresses based on individual completion history rather than global timing. If a player completed only two expeditions while others completed three, they can still unlock the missing rewards later by cheap ARCR Items finishing future expeditions.
