Learn the PoE 2 patch 0 point 5 Abyss and Rogue Exile farm, with Atlas picks, tablet setup, Jado tricks, faction choice, and jewel crafting that make it pay.

In Path of Exile 2 patch 0.5, one of the better endgame farms isn't about full-clearing every corner of a map. It's about setting up Abyss pits, dragging Rogue Exiles into the mess, and letting the loot do the talking. If you're trying to build a steady pile of PoE 2 Currency, this strategy is worth learning because the money doesn't only come from raw drops. A lot of it comes from jewels, especially strong bases that can be pushed further at the Well of Souls. The run can feel a little strange at first. You're skipping most side content. You're not chasing every pack. You're hunting very specific targets, and that's exactly why it works.

Atlas setup and why Abyss pits matter

The Atlas tree is the backbone of the farm. The key point is taking the Abyss node that spreads pits through the area. Don't treat this as optional. The whole trick depends on Rogue Exiles getting caught by the Abyss mechanic, and more pits means more chances for that to happen. Overlords Domain is also a big help, since it adds another Rogue Exile in maps with Powerful Map Bosses. More Exiles on the map means more possible conversions, more jewel chances, and fewer dead runs. You'll notice pretty quickly that bad layouts still happen, but the setup gives you enough pressure that the average map stays profitable.

Tablet choices for low and high budgets

There are two sensible ways to run the tablets. If you're starting out, use an Abyss tablet with a chance to create four extra pits, then add an Overseer tablet and an Irradiated tablet with whatever modifiers you can afford. It's not fancy, but it gets the engine moving. Once you've got more capital, upgrade into the stronger version: an Abyss tablet that guarantees four extra pits, plus Overseer and Irradiated tablets that both have the extra Rogue Exile modifier. The price jump is real, usually several Divines across a batch of ten maps, but the return is better if your character can keep the pace up.

Choosing a faction and running the map

Balance of Power comes down to how comfortable your build feels. Ulaman is the safer pick. The rares are easier to handle, and the currency chests give the farm a nice floor. Amanamu is the greedier option, and it can pay better, but you've got to play it properly. The important bit is pulling Amanamu rares out of their dark clouds before killing them. If they die outside the cloud, they can drop valuable Omens of Light and Echoes. For the map itself, use six-modifier Waystones, often Tier 15, so all three tablets can be active. The actual map mods don't change Rogue Exile jewel drops, so don't overthink perfect rolls. Pick Jado as the Master, take Spycraft, and use Long Days for the extra random content chance.

Jewels are the real prize

Inside the map, keep it simple: kill Rogue Exiles, finish Abysses, and take down the boss. Leave the rest unless it's directly in your path. The profit comes from speed and repetition, not from being tidy. Jewels such as Heart of the Well Diamond are the kind of drops you're aiming for, especially when they start with useful stats like critical chance, critical damage, or reduced mana cost. After that, the Well of Souls can reveal Desecrated Modifiers, which may add serious value for the right build. Players who want to scale the farm faster sometimes compare supplies or grab cheap poe 2 currency before investing in better tablets, but the real edge still comes from clean routing and knowing exactly what to ignore.
